Overdraft Priviledge Program Changes
WGE Federal Credit Union prides itself on member service. To prove that, we offer Overdraft Privilege to
enhance the value of your checking account. For members who are eligible, we will generally pay your overdraft items up to $350 instead of declining the ATM or Debit Card transaction. You will be charged a $26 Overdraft Privilege Fee for each overdraft transaction. By allowing overdrafts, you may be saved the embarrassment that
accompanies having your ATM or Debit Card declined and the time it takes to write a check.
If you want WGE to authorize and pay overdrafts on your ATM and everyday Debit Card
transactions after July 1, 2010, you must complete the Opt-In Form and return it to any branch.
Even if you had this service in the past, you must complete and return the form.

The Federal Reserve Board has made changes to the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) Act. The EFT Act governs your Debit Card and ATM Card rights and responsibilities. The amendment will change how financial institutions, including WGE Federal Credit Union, must handle an ATM transaction or an everyday Debit Card transaction that might cause an overdraft in your account. The new amendment does not apply to share drafts or recurring Debit transactions, such as monthly health club dues.
