Brief History
Founded in 1935 by the employees of Warner Gear, WGE Federal Credit Union was started with the belief that there had to be a better way - a better way to save money and a better way to borrow money.
For over 70 years, WGE has been giving its members just that - a place to turn to for all their financial needs; a place that is friendly and treats them with respect.
Credit Unions are unique financial institutions. The members are the owners, and WGE is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. WGE uses the deposits of its members to loan to its members. WGE is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and exist solely to service our members.
WGE strives to offer higher dividend rates, lower borrowing rates and services with little or no fees while maintaining a healthy financial status.
